Thursday Update

We have several events in need of volunteers. We can't provide these fun events for our students without your help. The Spring Fair may have to be canceled without enough help.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the McKinley Talent Show! We are proud of your performances and appreciate your hard work. Thank you to those who donated to the teachers luncheon. We appreciate your support.

The McKinley Garden - 5 More Days to Visit with Students

There are only 5 more Thursdays of recess to visit the garden with the students - please come join in! We've been tasting radishes & mint; weeding; planting garlic, strawberries and peas; and (prior to all the rain!) enjoying springtime in the garden. There can never be too many volunteers to help with the kids. No gardening experience necessary!!

Contact Meghan at mzamborsky@gmail.com or 202.361.6302 with questions.

Plant sale forms are due by May 23.

Our Lost and Found bin, located in the Main Lobby, is filled with lost clothing and items.  Please find some time to look through the bin.  Any items left in the bin after Friday, May 24th will be donated to a local organization.

Thank A Teacher!

Are you looking for a special way to thank your child's teacher for a great year at McKinley? Consider donating a book to our school library! Books are selected by our librarian, Miss Strohecker.  A commemorative bookplate will be placed in each book noting the staff member and family making the donation, and the books will be added to the McKinley Library as a lasting remembrance. They will also be featured in a special book display in the library. To donate a book in honor of a teacher or staff member, please complete the attached form and return it to the library by Friday, May 17th. Thank you.
