Interested in Being a Room Parent?
Sign up below to be considered as one of your child’s classroom Room Parents!
Room Parents play an important role in supporting the teacher throughout the school year. Responsibilities may include:
Organizing classroom parties and celebrations
Sharing information from the teacher or PTO with classroom families
Coordinating volunteers as needed
Helping foster a positive classroom community
Typically, two Room Parents are selected per classroom.
Please Note: All Room Parents must have current volunteer clearances on file before serving.
If you sign up for more than one classroom, please indicate your first choice in the comments. Once selected for a classroom, your name will be removed from the remaining selections.
After Room Parents have been selected, they will receive a welcome email with:
Room Parent expectations and responsibilities
Helpful resources and sample letters
A Staff Appreciation Interest Form, where Room Parents can choose which staff appreciation event(s) they would like to help coordinate during the school year.
Our goal is to recognize all members of our school staff through thoughtful, meaningful, and budget-friendly appreciation events.
As a Room Parent, we ask that you consider coordinating at least one Staff Appreciation event during the school year. These events may be organized independently or in collaboration with other your other room parents or room parent grade level team, and the PTO will provide guidance and budget information throughout the planning process.
