Visit the Award-Winning McKinley Garden

Thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers, McKinley's school garden was just announced as the Blue Ribbon winner for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's 2018 Gardening & Greening Contest! In addition to our volunteers, thank you to Ms. Kim for nominating our garden. The PHS judges were incredibly impressed with the volunteer effort to educate students on growing your own vegetables and native plants.  

If you want to see that in action, join us on Thursdays. Our kindergarten classes are now visiting on a rotating schedule as well; the teacher's name is listed with each sign up week below. 

You will never be turned away if you want to help the garden other than on a Thursday! We are currently looking for children's wagons if you or someone you know has one they no longer need; also if you are having any trees taken down, please let me know - we need wood chips.
