Garden Volunteers - No Experience Necessary!

Please consider assisting in the school garden on Thursdays during recess. The garden is for the students, staff and families at McKinley and entirely volunteer-run. Students get to explore, assist with gardening, pick vegetables and fruits when they are ripe and taste what they've helped grow. When you come to volunteer, you'll be shocked at how many vegetables they are willing to eat during recess - really! 

The garden needs help other than Thursdays, too - you can volunteer for a weekend shift to water or weed, or bring your ideas about how to make the garden flourish to the garden committee. Please contact Meghan Zamborsky at (202) 361-6302 or mzamborsky@gmail.com for more information.
